Countryside: Moving across Luxembourg you will find the most breathtaking views and landscapes. If you choose to discover Luxembourg’s countryside by car, train or bike, you will always come upon incredible green hills, silent and unbroken forests, picturesque gorges and flowing rivers.
Castles of Vianden & Bourscheid: Both surrounded by untouched nature, these castles will take you back in time and tell their story. The castle of Vianden is one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the Romanesque and gothic periods in Europe. The medieval castle of Bourcheid stands on a site with archeological evidence of structures dating back to Roman times. Standing majestically some 150 metres (490 ft) above the River Sûre, it is enclosed by a circular wall with 11 watchtowers.
US Military Cemetery: There are over 5,000 US burials at this cemetery from WWII. There are long rows of white crosses, adding to the overall humbling experience.
General Patton Museum & Monument in Ettelbruck: This is an important statue dedicated to General George Patton, who played an important role in the war. It’s a great way to learn about more of the history of Luxembourg, more or less 15 km from Larochette.
Museums & Galleries: Luxembourg has many wonderful museums and galleries to offer. One of the most unusual and unique is situated below street level. Visitors will be allowed inside a tunnel that used to connect four of Luxembourg City’s banks. In this tunnel you will find the contemporary art gallery Am tunnel, this provides a unique setting for your next event together with a collection of photographs by Edward Steichen and other temporary exhibitions.
