Flanders Fields and WWI Battlefields: Everyone is moved by a visit to Flanders Fields. In 1914 and for four long years West Flanders was the scene of the First World War where European and wider international interests were fought over. A million soldiers were wounded, missing or killed in action and entire cities and villages were destroyed. Belgian Coast: The province of West Flanders meets the North Sea in a 70 km long stretch of coast whose beaches of soft white sand are rimmed by cheerful resorts. The Belgian Coast is the destination that stimulates and motivates, but also inspires and relaxes, ideal for outdoor incentives or teams day out.
