Tibet is an autonomous region of China, located in western China. It has the world’s largest and highest plateau, the Tibetan Plateau, due to which it often gets nicknamed The Roof of the World. The north western region is still uninhabited to this day. The Tibetan Plateau borders the Himalayas, where the Mount Everest makes the border between Tibet and Nepal.
