Macau

Macau is one of the two Special Administrative Region of China. Long been under the Portuguese Empire, it was one of the earliest European colonies in Asia, and the last one to be freed. Macau is the gambling capital of the world, with its largest gambling revenue, and is therefore often called the Vegas of China. The Venetian Casino is currently the largest in the world.

Macau is known for its many festivals and events, such as the Macau Grand Prix, the Macau Arts festival, the International Fireworks Display Contest, the International Music festival, and the Macau International Marathon.

Due to its long colonisation, Macau has a lot to offer, such as churches, temples, fortresses, and many other old buildings. Surely visit the Bodhisatta Avalokitesvara statue, the Rua da Tercena street, the Macau Tower, the Taipa village, the Coloane village, the Cotai land area, the Sao Paulo Cathedral, the Fort and the Macau Museum, the Macau Museum, the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History, and the Taipa Houses Museum.
