Lanzarote

Lanzarote is the fourth largest island of the Canary Islands, known for its warm weather, beaches, and volcanic landscape. It is a Unesco World Biosphere Reserve. Its capital is Arrecife.

Most of its history is lost due to volcanic eruptions, but those created most of its landscape, such as the rocky landscape of Timanfaya National Park.Cueva de los Verdes has caverns which were formed by an underground river of lava.

Worth a visit are the Timanfaya National Park, the Montañas del Fuego, Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes, the Mirador del Rio, the Cactus garden, the House of Monument to the Peasant, the Whales and Dolphins Museum, the Agriculture Museum, and Lanzarote's Beaches.
