Linked with the Alsatian vineyards, its people often call it the capital of the Alsatian wine. This is really the place to be to enjoy the marvellous half-timbered coloured houses and cobblestone lanes. Soon, you will feel like you went a couple 100 years back in time. This city is also the birthplace of sculptor Bartholdi, who made the famous Statue of Liberty of New York. You can see his work at the Bartholdi Museum or take a look at the replica of the Statue of Liberty in the Rue de Strasbourg.
