Day 1
 
Arrival - Meet & Greet upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Private 44-passenger deluxe coach with water on board, English-speaking coordinator accompanying group.
 
 
 
Afternoon activity:  City Tour
 
You will visit the most important landmarks of Santiago, learning about its history and present. We will start off with Casa de Cousino to appreciate Chile’s colonial past. Then, we shall visit the Pre-Columbian Arts Museum, o ne of South America's best museums, with great exhibits of American pre-Columbian cultures. Next, we will visit La Moneda Palace, a neoclassical palace, residence of Chilean presidents until 1958 and presently the seat of the government. Subsequently, we will walk to the center of Santiago and to the Plaza de Armas, from where we will notice the magnificent Cathedral and two national monuments of colonial epoch: the Central Post Office and the City Hall. We will end the tour with a visit to San Cristobal Hill. Taking a ride up the cable car, we will face an impressive panoramic view of the city and the snow-capped peaks of the Andes Mountains.

Full day Tour: Majestic Cities on the Sea Tour, Viña del Mar & Valparaiso
 
You will be going out on a full day excursion to Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Viña del Mar is Chile's premier beach destination. We shall tour the city’s lovely beaches and visit the Fonck Museum, which hosts an original Moai giant sculpture brought from Easter Island. Next we will visit the exceptional port city of Valparaiso. This is Chile’s most historically rich port (now a UNESCO World Heritage site), presenting us with a unique stile. Homes are built on the steep hills, surrounding the downtown area and looking out to sea. This beautiful and trendy coastal destination was declared World Heritage Site. We will pass by the house of Nobel Prize-winner and internationally famous poet Pablo Neruda.

Maipo Canyon & Concha y Toro Vineyard
 
We will travel to the Maipo Canyon to visit the fertile lands of the Maipo River Valley. The soil quality of this region and its stable Mediterranean climate combine into an ideal wine-producing region. We will visit Concha y Toro vineyard, one of Chile’s top producers of fine wine. Our guide will give you a thorough explanation of the wine making and bottling processes. We shall next enjoy two wine tastings while learning how to evaluate a good wine. Santa Rita winery, another top wine producer, is our next stop. At restaurant Doña Paula, we will enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied with the superb Santa Rita wines. Visit the wine cellars and tour the facilities.
 
Andes Mountain Tour & Portillo Resort
 
We will drive north of Santiago to the Aconcagua Valley. On a clear day in the valley you can see the stunning peak of Aconcagua, actually located across the border in Argentina, which gives the river and valley its name. At 22,800 feet, it is the highest peak in the Americas. We will tour an 18th century hacienda, Casa San Regis, and learn about the history and importance of this region during the colonial period. We will also have a chance to taste the red wines the valley is famous for. Departing from the valley we will make a spectacular drive into the colorful Andes Mountains and arrive at the internationally renowned Portillo Ski Resort where we will have a delicious lunch overlooking the Inca Lake before returning to Santiago.
 
 
The Coastal Resorts of Cachagua & Zapallar with National Park
 
Departing at 8:00 a.m. we will head toward the central region’s northern coastal resorts for some of the best natural scenery of the region. First, we will visit the La Campana National Park and walk through a native Chilean Palm Forest near the quaint, rural town of Ocoa. Continuing to the coast, the beach and local seafood market in Maitencillo are our first stop before continuing to the neighboring town of Cachagua for a visit to a national penguin reserve.  Finally, the breathtaking, rocky coast and crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean make for a great invitation to the coastal town of Zapallar. After a stroll on the walkway nestled between the crashing waves and the seaside landscape, we will have a delicious Chilean seafood lunch at a local restaurant on a picturesque bay. After lunch we will have some time to relax on the beach or stroll the lushly landscaped streets of Zapallar.
 
 
Farm Traditions, Folklore and Rodeo Tour
 
This day will connect us to rural life in Chile, as well as its food, attire, and art forms. Horse back riding and walking about this farm is always an attractive option. Great shows featuring horse back riding skills of locals as well as song and dance of the region will surely attract visitors. Chilean meat and wines will complete this colorful day activity.
 
Tour of Great Chilean Wineries and Wine Tasting
 
In this tour, we will visit Chilean wineries, which in recent years have become world class products, and a major Cexport, due to the excellent quality and the many international awards they have obtained. An explanation of the wine making process, a delicious lunch, wine tasting and a view of breath taking wineries will surely attract anyone.
 
 
Shopping Tour
The best of Santiago’s shopping. First, we will visit the boutiques and galleries on the upscale Alonso de Cordova Avenue. Then we will learn about Chile’s famous semiprecious stone Lapis Lazuli and visit one Chile’s best shops. Finally, our tour ends at the picturesque Los Dominicos Craft Market with over 150 Chilean artists where you can enjoy a stroll through the pleasant atmosphere of the artisan village.
