Mexico has 8,300 miles of border, over 6,000 miles of coastline, and is touched by four major bodies of water: the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, the Sea of Cortes and the Caribbean Sea. It is bordered on the north by the United States and on the southeast by Guatemala and Belize. Covering almost 2 million square kilometres, Mexico is the fifth-largest country in the Americas by total area and the 14th largest independent nation in the world.

Each IVI Destination Management office is co-owned and independently managed by a strong executive leadership team. IVI feels its business model of co-owned offices is much more likely to meet – or in most cases, exceed – customer expectations. Friends of the Maya Foundation is a link between the visitors and the Mayan Communities, born thanks to the interest of Mr. José Manuel García, founder and president of IVI Destination Management, in enhancing life within of the World of the Maya. The Foundations’ principal objective is to generate funds to improve the current living conditions of the Maya through solidarity campaigns and social projects with IVI clients and industry friends. The Foundation coordinates the activate participation of individuals, local and international organizations and corporations to achieve our objective in delivering immediate and lasting improvements to the World of the Maya while preserving its uniqueness.
