Formed in June 2006, Montenegro is waiting to be discovered.

Montenegro is located in southeastern Europe. Its native name "Crna Gora" translates literally to "black mountain", a reference to the dark forests that once covered the slopes of the Dinaric Alps as seen from the Adriatic coast. Although the country is rather small from a geographic point of view - only 176 kilometers (110 miles) between the most eastern and most western point and only 200 kilometers (124 miles) from north to south - Montenegro offers a variety of amazing natural monuments: the Taras Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world (after Grand Canyon), Biogradska Gora is one of the last remaining jungles in Europe, no other lake in Europe is home for as many birds as the Lake Skutari and between Herceg Novi and Kotor you can see the only Fjord of the Mediterranean Sea.

Budva

Budva is a beautiful seaside town with a coastline over 20km long with 17 pristine sandy beaches. It is among the most beautiful coasts in the world flanked by the Adriatic and mountains.

Apart from its natural beauty, such as its bay islands and beaches, Budva is rich in historic monuments. Stari Grad lies on a small peninsula and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage, crossed with narrow streets, squares and buildings dating back over 400 years. Budva is only 30km from the old Montenegrin capital Cetinje, a beautiful old town settled in a mountain valley, where all of Montenegrin history and culture can be discovered - only 2 hours by train away from mountain ski resorts.

Becici

Becici, home to the Hotel Splendid Conference & Spa, is located just 3 km away from the old town of Budva and is home to one of the most spectacular beaches in the Mediterranean. In 1936, at the world exhibition in Paris, Becici beach was proclaimed the most beautiful beach of the Mediterranean. A beautiful seaside promenade leads to the old town of Budva.
