What is a DMC (Destination Management Company)? DMC is a company that specialises in the organisation and logistics of meetings and events in a specific country, geographical location or destination i.e. conference planning, incentive or meeting organsing. With in-depth knowledge of the destination, (a region or a country), years of experience in organising programs, relationships and volume of business with local vendors and creativity, the Destination Management Company creates flawless execution of events. DMC's are the local partner of a corporate meeting planner, incentive planner or travel agent.

There are four steps in planning a conference. Determine the Conference’s Purpose - The more focused a conference’s goals are, the easier it is to determine the potential audience as well as the best publicity for it. Create a Budget - Once a purpose is determined, a budget is essential to determine the conference’s financial feasibility. Secure a Venue - The conference could take place in hotel conference rooms, a convention center, or some other venue with the appropriate sized rooms for rent. Acquire Speakers - Speakers who can provide information that fits the goal of the conference make the best speakers.
